Hard To Handle is Book 2 in the Teach Me Series by R.C. Boldt and I loved every second of it.  

It was fun getting to know Laney and Zach better in Hard To Handle. In Wildest Dream (book 1 of The Teach Me Series) you saw the two tip toeing around each other and knew there was more to their story. I loved learning their story and what made them tick!

(Side note: you don't need to read book 1 to follow Hard to Handle

 but you are definitely missing out if you don't)

Where to start with Laney and Zach? 

Laney doesn't believe in love and marriage . She guards her heart from getting too attached because of circumstances when she was growing up. Zach from the moment of meeting Laney has been tongue tied and they starts off on the wrong foot.  They continue for years having a love/hate relationship.

The day finally comes when lines are crossed and the attraction that they both have towards each other is succumbed too! Laney guarding her heart only wants a sexual relationship and Zach is willing to give her that hoping that things will change. In Hard To Handle you are taken on an emotional roller coaster of ups and downs until finally coming to a stop.

My favorite parts throughout the book was when all the friends were together. I just love the comradely  between them - they have each other back no matter what and have no problem bashing on each other at the same time. I laughed throughout the book - Lawson just cracks me up!

Hard To Handle is a sweet romantic story! 

Can't wait to read more of the series!

Under The Surface captured my attention from page one! 

 

Under The Surface is a stunningly, sexy love story about overcoming ones past in order to move forward and have your happily ever after!

 

Dex is fighting a ghost that he can't get away from.  Ruby is fighting her own demons from her past!  With trust being an issue can they together overcome the past and move forward?  Together they make you believe happily ever after is possible even after being dealt a crappy beginning in life!

 

I truly enjoyed reading Under The Surface.

 I felt like I was apart of their family in a dysfunctional way!

 I have to say Jash made me laugh all the time...I think he and Dex are my favorite!

 However, I think I could very easily become addicted to all of them!

 

I look forward to reading more from Jaye Cox!

The sound of the door slamming shut reverberated through the ten by ten holding cell, as loud and ominous as a death knell. The hunter had become the prey and now he'd been caged like an animal. Had it not been for the years of discipline that the Navy had instilled, he would have given in to the violent rage simmering inside and beaten the living shit out of Reverend Lawson, and the hell with
the consequences. But Ginny had been upset enough at seeing him arrested and slapped in handcuffs; watching him tear her father to shreds wouldn't have helped the situation.

He walked over to the cot and sat down heavily, elbows on his knees, head in his hands. Jed closed his eyes and pictured Ginny's face the last time he'd seen her. Her father had been dragging her to the car, her clothes in her arms, tears streaming down her pretty face. The fear in those big blue eyes would haunt him until his dying day.

Yeah, 'cause he really needed another demon tormenting him.

Hoping against hope that she would change her mind, that the bus would stop and she'd get off, he stayed rooted to the spot until it disappeared from view.

Any chance he'd had of making things right between them was long gone. Just like Harley Abbot Baker, the she devil who owned his soul.

Pausing in the act of drowning his food in ketchup, Matthew asked, "When?"

"When you said you would be that man," Harley reminded him.

"I'll tell you when you're eighteen," he replied and took a bite of his burger.

Harley was more confused than she had been before. "So you want me to wait until I'm an adult before you'll even tell me what the hell I'm waiting for?" 

Matthew reached across the table and took her hand in his. Tingles of awareness shot to the oddest places when he rubbed his thumb lightly over the back of her fingers. "Me," he said quietly, his obsidian gaze ablaze with emotion. "I'm asking you to wait for me, Harley."

Mesmerized by the tenderness she saw in his eyes, her heart began to flutter in her chest. "For you," she repeated in a daze.

"Yeah," he confirmed and squeezed her fingers gently. "Can you do that?"

Wait two years for Matthew? Hell, Harley had already waited a lifetime and she still couldn't believe this was happening. "Yeah," she barely breathed. "I can do that."

Desire Had A Name is about two people who loved each other from an early age but let circumstances get in there way! Years pass when Matthew and Harley are brought back into each others lives and discover that their feelings for each other didn't go away!  Secrets are revealed and things from the past are brought to light and we find out if Matthew and Harley can survive it.

Tonya Brooks did a great job keeping the story moving along. I enjoyed her use of flashbacks between the past and present time.  I only wish that more would have been explained regarding Harley's past in the beginning of the book. 

Desire Had A Name left me wanting to know more about the other Bad Baker Boys! 

I truly enjoyed reading Matthew's story and would recommend the book to anyone looking for a sweet and sexy love story!
